Features and Benefits

Convertible Jet Pumps - For Shallow Well or Deep Well Applications.

A Flint and Walling CPJ15 1-1/2HP convertible jet pump is a type of jet pump that can operate as either a shallow well or a deep well pump, depending on the ejector configuration. Jet pumps are devices that use a jet of water, creating a vacuum and high velocity, which creates higher inlet pressure into the impeller, and creating higher outlet pressures, when drawing from a water source.

A Flint and Walling CPJ15 1-1/2HP convertible jet pump has the following features.

  • CPJ15 cast iron convertible deepwell pump can provide higher single stage capacities and pressures; as a deepwell pump it can pump from depths to 90' to water table, capacities up to 12.5GPM and create as much as 91PSI shut off pressure. Use chart below for deepwell, 2 pipe ejector, for performance in your application.
  • CPJ15 cast iron convertible deepwell pump can provide higher single stage capacities and pressures; as a 2" single pipe ejector (packer system) deepwell pump, it can pump from depths to 150' to water table, capacities up to 20GPM and create as much as 104PSI shut off pressure. Use chart below for deepwell, 2" single pipe ejector (packer system), for performance in your application.
  • CPJ15 cast iron convertible deepwell pump in shallow well applications, can pump from depths up to 25' to water table, capacities up to 23.8GPM and create as much as 125PSI shut off pressure. Use chart below for shallow well ejector, for performance in your application.
  • It can deliver water at temperatures up to 140F.
  • The pump is equipped with a Silicone, Carbide Face, self adjusting seal.
  • It has a Service Plus (exclusively manufactured in America by Flint and Walling) motor that is durable, efficient, and easy to service. The motor is available in NEMA J construction and is 1 1/2 HP, dual voltage (115 or 230 volt), with capacitor start. It comes with a Automatic, start and run overload, to ensure complete winding protection.
  • 1-1/2HP models feature a precision balanced, ultra smooth, low lead brass impeller.
  • Includes: pump, motor, flow control valve, and pressure switch set a 30/50PSI.
  • Designed for years of trouble-free operation and simple, swift, on-site servicing. The CPJ pump features unique interchangeability of replacement parts.

It comes with a pump, a motor, a pressure switch, and the flow control valve, but the ejector and the pressure gauge have to be ordered separately.

Is your Shallow Well Jet Pump Not Producing Pressure Like It Used To?

Is your jet pump not producing the pressure it used to? In the front, on shallow well jet pumps and deep well jet pumps with shallow well adapters (as seen in picture below pump), there is a 1/4" pipe plug located in the front center of the pump or shallow well adapter, where the center of impeller would line up (usually right below the suction pipe). Remove that 1/4" plug and make sure the jet is open and not plugged. This is a common occurrence, and by cleaning this jet from being restricted or plugged, can renew your jet pump pressure without the disassembly of the pump. Find an example in the pictures below.
