If you are experiencing a pump that won't shut off, don't be so fast to blame the pump. The pump needs 2 things to shut off. No water flow and the proper shut-off pressure.
Example: A toilet leak (or any leak in the system) will create, won't stop running because of flow. Recommended - Install a gate valve or ball valve and pressure gauge on the outlet, prior to the system, to be sure there is no leak in the system and you have proper shut-off pressure. While pump is running, close the valve, if the pump shuts off, you have a leak in your water system.
